Intro to the mound

Well here it is the first post in the stinkin mound blogspot. For those who are visitors to this site, the R family when growing up spent hours of slave labor working on a desolate uninhabited piece of terra firma called the mound. Our drive way was just over an 1/8 of a mile long and culminated in a gravel culdesac in the center of the culdesac Grandma R wanted to put a flower garden with a waterfall, and other asthetically pleasing acroutements including rocks pilfered from various roadsides throughout the US, a varying assortment of bushes, dead tree stumps, rotten whiskey barrells, and a rusted out corn planter built in the late 1800's (about the same time Grandma R was born :) The mound has been a thorn in the side but also an icon to our family representing trials that bring us together and make us stronger despite the pain that is often times associated with these trials. So sit back and enjoy the reading.......

M & T The Mound Edition 8 Oct 2005

Hello Everyone! Hope all is going good for you all. We are doing great! Just keeping busy with daily life, work, school, home… you know, the usual. M is still at Edge Performance Sports in Ontario and enjoying that very much. He loves his job and most of the people that he works with. M also likes long walks on the beach, sappy girl movies, cooking gourmet meals, and doing laundry. In his free time he likes to take is tough doggy Trixie on walks and donate his time to the local Nerds Anonymous Foundation. On a serious note, we just bought a piece of property behind out house and we are busy trying to get that looking good, although it is not the greatest time of year to be planting grass. We have also been kept very busy with our little dog. We cannot keep her home to save our lives. Everyday she runs away and we can't find her. M even installed an underground shock fence, which he loves to stick Trixie in when she doesn't listen, which is all the time. Please call us if you need a really good and loyal dog, she is even spayed. Anyway, I am doing well. My pregnancy is going very good. I had an ultrasound last week, but could not tell the gender as of yet. Hopefully we will know in a couple of weeks. We would be happy with whatever we get, just as long as he/she is healthy. Due to the pregnancy, I am growing quite large at an astounding rate. M calls me his little hippo, although there is nothing little about me... what will I look like at 9 months? That is the scary thing! Oh well, work is going well, and is keeping me very busy. Our cliental has doubled in the last few months so I am really working overtime. C1 is really enjoying second grade. As of the end of September he has all A's except in English which he has a B in. He just recently moved downstairs and absolutely loves that because he has his own bathroom and his own space away from C2. C1 also twisted M's and my arm into letting him get a kitten. He named her Stormy because she is gray like a storm cloud. Stormy is a good little kitten and she loves to beat up on the dog. C1 has done very well in keeping her fed and her litter box clean without M or I having to tell him to do it. C2 is growing like a little weed. He is so tall now. It is a good thing that we are having a baby because he is definitely not our little cuddle bug baby anymore. He has already planned out next year. He has decided that he wants to go to kindergarten and that the reason that he is not going to Pre-school this year is because he is just too smart! C2 loves to play with his best friend Spencer everyday. Spencer's mom is the one that watches C2 and C1, so it works out wonderfully. Well, we love you all and wish you the best. I am sure that we will see some of you guys this holiday season. Hope all is well. Love, M, T, C1, and C2
